Class of 2022 Congratulations
In this month’s newsletter edition, we congratulate the Class of 2022 on achieving all their goals as the newest graduates of Archbishop Ryan. The Summer Social is just around the corner, and we look forward to seeing everyone at the shore to reconnect with fellow Alumni and friends. Archbishop Ryan Class of 2022 Baccalaureate Mass and Commencement Ceremony
This past week, the Class of 2022 celebrated their Baccalaureate Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul and Commencement Ceremony at the Cure Insurance Arena. With a shift of their tassels, the Class of 2022 officially starts the next chapters of their lives as Archbishop Ryan graduates. The last few years have been difficult as the COVID pandemic started and ended during this classes’ tenure at Archbishop Ryan which had to make numerous adjustments as part of their student life. The Class of 2022 pulled together as a group to navigate each hurdle and raised to the occasion to accomplish their goals. Congratulations to the Class of 2022 and we welcome you as fellow Alumni.

2022 Summer Social
Get your sandals and sunglasses ready, the 2022 Summer Social is scheduled for Saturday July 30, 2022, from 2 to 7 PM at the Seaport Pier in Wildwood NJ. Entertainment provided by Frank and Alice of Jamison and our very own DJ Bobby Sacco. The Summer Social is open to all fellow Alumni and friends, we hope to see you there as we look to continue the great tradition and raise funds dedicated to the students of Archbishop Ryan.

Annual Archbishop Ryan Car Show
Join our Alumni as they host the Annual Archbishop Ryan Car Show, which is scheduled for Saturday June 25, 2022, from noon to 6PM EST. General admission is free, a food truck and Rita’s water ice will be onsite for purchase. Entertainment provided by MOJO Channel and Just Call Dawn DJ. Awards presented at 5PM to include Top 40, Principal Award and Alumni Award. Car Registration, Sponsorships and Donation details can be found at https://www.arhs.me/carshow.
Athletic Locker Replacement Project
Archbishop Ryan is excited to let you all know that we are planning to replace all of the 50+ year old lockers in both our boys’ and girls’ locker rooms! The project will replace all existing lockers with full length lockers, including locked storage for students’ personal belongings and individual seating for each locker. A design has been completed for the boys’ locker room and a purchase order for the lockers issued. We are completing a design and will issue a purchase order for the girls’ locker room within the next 30 days!
The fundraising for this project was started by the Ryan Football Alumni Association (RFAA) as an effort to replace the boys’ lockers. They’ve raised a great deal of money for the boys’ lockers so far! We’re now inviting other members of the Ryan community to contribute and help us reach our goal! You can help by following one of the links below to donate directly to the “GIRLS LOCKERS” or the “BOYS LOCKERS” projects. If you would like to donate to both just click on each link separately.
We are asking for donations of $250, but any amount will help. Each person who donates $250 or more will be listed on the locker room recognition wall with your name, class, sport, and uniform number. We will contact you via email to get the specifics. Contributors of $250 or more who played more than one sport can select 1 sport and uniform number; anyone contributing who did not play a sport will have the option of recognizing a former athlete or simply noting their name and affiliation with the program of their choice (e.g.: Mary Smith; Ragdoll Supporter; Softball).
Thank you to the Ryan Football Alumni Association for identifying this need and launching and coordinating this effort. RFAA is registered as a 501(c)3 charitable organization with Internal Revenue.

Director of Admissions and Communications
Ryan Simmons ‘04 was announced as the new Director of Admission and Communications at Archbishop Ryan. Ryan has been a teacher at Archbishop Ryan since 2018 and was a recipient of last year’s Spirit of Ryan award. Ryan has been the voice of Archbishop Ryan’s social media presence with his incredible content and his dedication to the Ryan community is an inspiration to us all.

Archbishop Ryan Girls’ Basketball Coach
Archbishop Ryan is thrilled to announce the hiring of Jullian Rattliff as the new Head Coach of the Girls’ Varsity Basketball Team.
Coach Rattliff has coached Mid-Atlantic Magic AAU team and served as an Assistant Coach for Cristo Rey. His resume includes 2019 Penn-Jersey Conference Championship runner-up. Most recently, he was a part of the NEHS coaching staff that took their team to the PIAA 6A State tournament in 2021-22. Looking forward to welcoming Coach Rattliff to AR!

Archbishop Ryan seeks a Varsity Field Hockey Coach! This is a truly fantastic environment for either a new coach looking to build a team for the first time or an older coach with a ton of experience. Our girls play hard and enjoy the sport an immense amount!
